What is your general feeling about TP at the end of the day?

In the last week, I've felt that the time passed very quickly, but I was happy that I have built up a good relationship with the kids and with the teacher, as I felt that I really made a great effort in this training.

(T)
The teacher was happy because she was able to help me in the tasks that I have and also happy that I had helped her a lot and she was grateful for that and wished me the best of luck.


Reflect on the duties / activities did you carry out during the preschool today. How do you feel about your efforts? Was there anything you could have done to improve the quality of the learning experience for the children?

(S)
On this day, I attended a lesson on Pre-assessment for environmental patterns of the colors of the UAE flag, as I had attended activity patterns which are about pieces of paper on flag colors of the UAE and the kids should stick the colors in the form of patterns, I felt happy that some of the students have learned how to work patterns, but some students needs to help so helped them in order to reach the stage of understanding and learning.

The teacher helped me in the work activity and as she explained to me how to make students understand the lesson in simple way, as she said after I've finished the lesson that I worked well for the delivery of information to students and help the students who did not understand the lesson was wonderful.


What was the most interesting activity or strategy you saw your MENTOR use? Why did you think it was interesting and worth noting/remembering? Compare this with previous TP experience.

Strategy used by the teacher in the classroom I have used a clapping with some other movements strategy, has succeeded with me as the students were responders to me, I've had a quick response of them better than the first time when I used this strategy, and I think that this strategy is impressive because the normal clapping not succeeds and does not respond to children.

The teacher uses the clapping with some movements such as raising hands up then hand over the head, behind the back and then fold of arms, and the students do it with her, in order to focus on the lesson, because the normal clapping does not succeed him and that students do not respond to him.


What progress have you made in terms of your own personal targets for TP this semester? Which TP competencies do you feel you achieved and which do you think that you need to focus on next time? Discuss ways in which you could do this.

It’s kind of the same of the second time, one of the personal goals achieved in this TP is that I have made myself responsible and role the class when I was given a lesson and I earning the respect of students, and I was very happy when I saw that students listen to me and do what they are ordered to do, and I tried to use all the strategies that I have studied this year in the class and has succeeded with me and I was happy that my studied did not go vain, but this time I focus in the strategies and I used some of them and I did it well, that because I’ve watched the teacher well and write notes to know the correct way to use all the strategies and teaching methods.


What evidence of learning did you identify/document today? Relate this to the ADEC curriculum goals.

I took the table weekly goals of curriculum Abu Dhabi Education Council from the teacher, and taught me how to work using the lesson curriculum, evidence of learning that worked on this day was to introduce the flag colors as show them and tell them how and what is the patterns, on activity which is colored paper clipped in the shape of small squares and the students should do the patterns. Using of Abu Dhabi Education Council curriculum is to organize a innovative style of education for future generations.


What was the most important thing you learnt about the role of the teacher in managing all aspects of the school day? Compare this with previous TP experience and where possible make links with college based learning.

I have learned a lot about the role of the teacher in the school day and all of them important in being a teacher and it's including, planning, which is done by teachers meeting and choose a particular theme for the week and put her specific plans and then every teacher is planning for the lesson and activities in her own way, I has also learned how to explain the instructions to the students instead give lectures it's better to use the tools to clarify and make things easier for them and also assessing students' abilities in constantly and make suggestions for improving it, and as I learned how to interact with the students and gain their respect and be a positive example for them and also showed interest and care for students.

What is your general feeling about TP at the end of the day?

I tried to get used with the kids for a whole week and I have succeeded in that so that the lesson was smooth and I felt that children put me to a special place on their mind and hearts, so they were listeners and participants in the lesson.

(T)
The teacher was sitting on the carpet with the students so that I felt she assesses closely, and when I finished the lesson she came to me and told me that I did a very good lesson and it was awesome, and it's good that I have followed her style, so that if I follow another method children will be Confused.

 In the activity that I did in the song of the sound lesson it was about the sound of (K) taught them a new word which is a kite, also I used the method of the teacher in the activity, so I used the pieces of paper that I had prepared before and set up by an on a shape of Diamond  and scraps of paper consisting of three colors (red, yellow and green) and long brown rope, I explained to the students how to make a kite while showing them I was putting the three  colored papers and mention the name of the color and they repeated behind me, after I explained to them the first activity, I explained to them in every area what they will work and I distribute students in each area and help those who need to help.

The teacher helped me in the planning of activities in each area, also helped me to give me useful advice in order that I don't be nervous and Make the lesson smooth. After the lesson she said that I had planned for the lesson well and my explanation of activities and help students in each area was fabulous.

The motor activities useful for students so that they help activate the body and do not feel bored or sleepy, so in this lesson, I used the strategy that the teacher use for them, and it was fun to dance with the kids.

An activity that caught my attention was the motor activity so that the students are sitting for a long time, for this teacher thought that after each lesson do with them kinetic activity and running in their places, and most of the time she makes them dancing to the song sounds.

One of the personal goals achieved in this TP is that I have made myself responsible and role the class when I was given a lesson and I earning the respect of students, and I was very happy when I saw that students listen to me and do what they are ordered to do, and I tried to use all the strategies that I have studied this year in the class and has succeeded with me and I was happy that my studied did not go vain, but I think I need a little focus in some of the strategies, because I have not used it a bit, and to do that I have to watch the teacher well and write notes in order to know the correct way to use all the strategies and teaching methods.

Today, because I gave a whole lesson for this I learned a lot about the role of the teacher in the classroom and in school, first, advance planning for the lesson and activities accurately to get new ideas for education and teaching effective, secondly, I learned through the activities must work with the groups to assess their understanding of the lesson and interact with them, thirdly, as I learned give fair punishments to students who break the classroom rules, and at the conclusion of the lesson must review the lesson with the students through several methods. Lastly, the teacher role of school its monitors at break time, lunch and play ground, also in times of extra-curricular activities.

What is your general feeling about TP at the end of the day?

The first day in class I was nervous and scared that the kids did not get used to me in the first week but eased the tension when I thought that it must impose myself on them and I sat with them and talked with them for some time and played, and also eased the tension when I saw the way the teacher to talk with them cheerfully and joke with them and how to explain the lesson to them and I felt it was easy to follow her own way, which she was comfortable, active and interacting with students and Used several ways to Reach information for students.

The teacher on the first day she was a bit nervous because she do not know how she will help me in the tasks that I have, but I explained to her that each task that completed I will show it to her to tell me is it right or not, and she felt little bit confident and she told if I need any help I could ask her.

I did not care any activity that day, but I have helped of a teacher, so that cut the papers and also helped the students in the areas. The way the teacher in the development of several activities were good enough to improve the educational level of the students.

The teacher in each lesson do with students activity manually, which is from scraps of paper, colors and glows, for example if the lesson about song of the sounds, it does cut some papers shaped the word that begins with this sound like (Elephant, Cupcake, Duck, Water, etc.), she is also prepared the areas of Science and Mathematics and start explaining to them clearly in each area what will they are doing, because the students accustomed that way of learning and they enjoy these way.

The most activities that sparked my interest is the outer activities for mathematics, which is a big box containing several tools that help students in remembering the numbers that they studied and improved counting skill they have, they also help students who need to focus in the subject. This activity is interesting and worth mentioning because it is outside activity and students enjoy and learn in the same time and as they communicate with each other and help each other, which entrenches the numbers in memory, and understand in easy way.

The teacher uses the outside activity of mathematics every week twice or once, to motivate students to learn a the numbers as motivated to understand the lesson in a fun and educational at the same time.

I did not feel I have achieved something in the first lesson to me because I was nervous and I thought that the students are still not used to me, but when I saw that students respond to my questions I was relieved, and I explained the lesson well.

The teacher allowed me to re-lesson on the other class in order to make me get rid of nervous and feel relieved when I give a lesson, and she also told me I was good as an intern in the first year and that my explanation was good, and the accent was clear.

I learned that the language clear and clear accent when explaining the lesson is important, some of vocabulary difficult on the kids I have to use the easy and simple vocabulary so they can understand the lesson easily, and the teacher gave me some advice on how classroom management using her method so that children do not confused so that the style of activities and style students distribution , and also began the school day by singing a song week-day ,routine is something I can not avoid.

This week the unite is about " my country ", last week on the 3ed of November was the  flag-raising day so from that day the students start  learn colors of the UAE flag.
My Aim: (what am I trying to do better in my teaching?)

-My aim is to deliver the information to the students from the first try.
-To let the students learn the colors of the UAE flag, and learn the patterns on the activity.

The students will learn how to do patterns with UAE  flag colors and learn the colors name.

Assumptions about prior learning

They already know that the UAE flag had four colors.

Possible problems and solutions

Problem: Some students do not know differentiate between "black and blue" and some of them still mix up with colors name, also they don't know how to do the patterns.
Solution: It's to review the colors with them and show them what is the patterns mean.
